Frequency is the title of my graduation project from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts. In the project I studied frequency, sound and light waves and then visualized it using the 3D rendering software Cinema 4D. The final product of the project was a publication and video. Here are a few of the images i produced for the project. To see the publication go to: Work - frequency publication
Everything in the universe has a frequency, everything is constantly in motion. From galaxies and solar systems down to atoms. In our daily life, we experience frequency mostly unknowingly; in the form of light and sound waves. All the sounds we hear are caused by events that create a chain reaction of vibrations in molecules that travel through space. Our eardrums sense these vibrations as sound. The same goes for light; our eyes detect the frequency of electromagnetic waves as light and colour. However, we can only perceive a small portion of the sound and light spectrum, and waves, ranging in proportion from the size of buildings down to the size of atoms, are constantly moving everywhere around us.
